I was wondering what people’s backgrounds in homeopathy are. Are you learning homeopathy on your own, through a correspondence course, at a physical school, from a homeopath? Let’s get some action going in this group and share our knowledge and experience.

Re: Homeopathic Training
Tue, February 8, 2005 - 10:11 AMI've been in practice for about 20 years now. I've been teaching for about 12 years, and set up my own college in Lancaster (U.K.) 4 years ago, and opened a branch in London just last month.
I'm not a classical prescriber (I use a lot of flower essences, herbs etc alongside the remedies).
Yes, let's get some action going!

Re: Homeopathic Training
Tue, September 27, 2005 - 12:10 PMI am studying at the California Center for Homeopathic Education. You can find them at www.cche.com.
They're not teaching classical methods, but rather, the methods of Rajan Sankaran from India. Cool stuff too. I've been treating a few patients using this method and each of them has gotten better in all areas--physically, psychologically, and emotionally. -

Re: Homeopathic Training
Tue, November 1, 2005 - 11:57 AMI have been studying for about four years with two different local homeopaths. The man I study with now is a hahnemmanian homeopath, and we talk a lot about our own spiritual evolution/healing, as a prerequisite for seeing someone clearly, and correctly prescribing. I love it. When my youngest child is a couple of years older, I plan on apprenticing with my teacher, but for now I go to a full day class once every three or four weeks.

Re: Homeopathic Training
Thu, February 16, 2006 - 10:10 PMI met Ms. Sweet in said Bombay homeopathic training.
I have a thouroughly, dogmatically entrenched homeopathic training of the bombastic genre. Classical homeopathy. So my basic anchor is intact, with much repertory work and reading of the Organon. Cross referencing, etc., with more focus on repertory work than materia medica.
Once I finished that condensed 3 year training. I pulled anchor, set sail, and put my information into action. I studied with quite a few homeopaths and esp. liked Clarke, in the books.
This lead me to Ireland, the Burren School of Homeopathy, where I was able to do some proving work with Nuala Eising, and later went to the Classical Bombay College offerings.
I use the mineral/animal/plant/imponderable method of analysis and interview people until things come to a deeper complex place, and prescribe there. I continue to repertorize and look at a variety of sources, now esp. the internet.
I like to do acute prescribing, and then I us. just repertorize, this would be with folks that aren't being treated constitutionally. My goal is to meet folks where they are, instead of push a huge homeopathic program on to them. I also love treating animals. I, myself, have had a major benefit from homeopathic intervention.
Now that Ms. Sweet is on board, we can get this up and running, a woman of action, she is! -
